· I have to go to the doctor and have my stapes taken out this afternoon. I got into a fight with an area rug and wound up hitting the corner of the door frame. Eight stapes. The worst part was the sound of the staple gun. I just hope having them out is not worse than having them put in.

· Surprise, surprise Kimberly Gilfoyle pressured a Trump donor to pay off her credit card bill before becoming an ambassador. What sleaze, what incredible sleaze this woman is.

· Explosions in Saudi Arabia’s capital (NYT).

· Pentagon officials are threatening to live stream the execution by firing squad of the Fort Hood shooter. Public executions are carried out commonly in countries like Iran, North Korea and the Taliban-led Afghanistan (NYT).
