Elon Musk considered pulling plug on Ukraine’s Starlink access after ‘great conversation with Putin’

A former Pentagon official has said that Elon Musk, nervous that Starlink was increasingly seen in Russia as enabling the Ukrainian war effort, considered terminating Kyiv’s access to the communication system. Colin Kahl, a US undersecretary of defence for policy until last month, was tasked with brokering a deal to prevent Mr Musk from turning the system off altogether. Kahl claims that the negotiations included an admission from the Tesla founder that some of his concerns came following talks with Putin.
