Georgia: Kemp (MSNBC)

• Republican members of the Geogia legislature have signaled that they intend to punish Fani Willis over her prosecution of Trump.
• State Senate Majority leader Steve Gooch said that Republicans would hold hearings to see if Willis is “using her position in a political manner.”
• (Note: Talk about a witch hunt.)
• A new law allows them to form a state panel to investigate and oust prosecutors they don’t like.
• Governor Kemp warned Republicans to back off.  He dismissed calls for a special session to impeach Fani Willis.
• Why did Kemp sign the law which allowed legislators to do this?
• Greg Bluestein (AJC).  In the debate about the law, Fani Willis didn’t come up.  It’s a verbal warning.  He will appoint the panelist who will decide.  There is a lawsuit about this panel even existing. 
• De Santis is doing this in Florida.
• (Note: Kemp is like a member of the gang who participated in everything leading up to the crime, but refused to go inside the liquor store with the gun.)
