Israel

• Israel is conducting more air strikes and tank and artillery strikes into Gaza. 
• Land and sea incursions into Gaza have been launched.  They were said to be targeting Hamas command centers.
• “Gaza is being leveled.”  Richard Engels
• 7,000 is the death toll claimed by Hamas.
• The tunnels look like a nightmare to me.
• Israel increased the number of hostages it thinks are being held.  Families of hostages feel forgotten in the push to “expand the war.”

• (CNN) Telecommunications have been cut in Gaza.
• Israeli government official (senior advisor to Netanyahu) says that the Israeli government is helping the Palestinians by freeing them from Hamas rule.

6:`15 PM

• (msnbc) There are protests in four cities in the West Bank.
• Oh My God.  Mike Johnson is terrifying.  George Santos: We have a narrow margin, Santos has the right to due process.
• Tim Miller about Johnson:  He’s a no exceptions anti-abortionist.  The punishment he advocated is “hard labor.”  A speaker that was one of the architects to install Trump and overturn the election.  When this was said in the House, Luna (Republican from Florida) shouted “Damn right” and everybody cheered on the Republican side.  This is where they are.  They aren’t trying to hide their anti-democratic beliefs.

• John Fetterman went to APAC to see that he could get Apac support, they basically edited their platform.
• Bernie Sandres reluctance to say cease fire.  He has never had the ear of the president, he has that now,  He is not willing to risk that.  Everybody has Biden’s ear.  Bernie’s agenda is not going anywhere.  There was a letter from former staffers asking about a letter about cease fire.  His position was that ANY LETTR would be unlikely to make any difference.

• Four days ago.  Speech:  “Scripture, the bible is very clear,  God has raised up each of you…”  Deeply into that Christo-fascist world.  Does the public know what this guy is about.
• The Republicans have shut up about abortion and let the courts do the work for them.
• We are here by God’s will.  You don’t serve at the pleasure of God, you are elected by the people

Mike Johnson says if you want to know what he thinks, just go get the bible and that will tell you.

• What is a civil society supposed to look like?  Our generation has been convinced that there is a separation between church and state?
• Johnson is an ideological candidate. 

Israel Communications have been cut in Gaza.  This makes the Palestinians unable to send out videos of the strikes and of their oppression.
