- The Kyiv Independent and the New York Times (NYT) are both reporting that U.S. officials think Islamic State is responsible for the attack in Moscow. This occurred shortly after the group took responsibility.
- US intelligence collected information in March that Islamic State-Khorsan, known as ISIS-K the branch of ISIS located in Afghanistan had been planning an attack in Moscow.
- US officials are afraid that Putin will blame Ukraine.
- The NYT reported that two hours ago, the Russian national guard said that its officers were still looking for the gunmen.
- Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman mocked the US officials for saying that Ukraine was not responsible.
- MSNBC is still now reporting that ISIS has taken responsibility. This was on telegram that ISIS took responsibility.
