• There is a dispute within the Israeli cabinet about the proposed cease fire and hostage exchange.  Far-right parties Religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit oppose the hostage deal.
• The ultra-Orthodox party, Shas, plans to vote for the hostage deal.
• John Kirby has said that the US does not support IDF activities in the south of Gaza unless there is “a clearly articulated plan for how they’re going to protect the…population.”
• South African lawmakers vote to suspend diplomatic ties with Israel, shut embassy.
