The Moscow Times is reporting that Russian and U.S. negotiators held secret talks on resuming gas flows to Germany via the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.  The operators of the NS2 are currently under US sanctions.  Russia’s sanctioned energy giant Gazprom owns the pipeline’s operator.

The German tabloid, Bild, reported that a potential deal could “give the U.S. control over Russian gas flows via Nord Stream 2.  Businessman Stephen Lynch is reportedly expressing interest in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 operators.”

According to the Financial Times, the effort is being led by Matthias Warnig, a “former East German spy and longtime associate of…Putin.”  Bild wrote: “Americans would regulate the German gas tap and earn money at the same time.”

The NYT is reporting that Hegseth has ordered the Pentagon to stop offensive cyberoperations against Russia.  (Note: What more evidence do people need?)  The reporting is that this instruction was given before the meeting with Zelensky in the Oval Office.  (Note: Yep, part of the plan.)
